Stellar Forces is now back up! It now takes 2 reverse proxies and a cloud server that sends everything to the static IP address at my home to enable SF to work. All because a Zyxel router can't forward on port 80.
All games should be at the point they left off.
I don't suppose any SF players are experts in routers are they?
I could easily configure my linksys router to do port forwarding. There was only one problem. I had to include my static local ip into the DHCP range. My router did not allow me to do port forwarding to an out of range ip.
@Peter, I'm afraid I had to trim the data back, so I got rid of all games over a year old. The backup file was over 1Gb (13Gb when uncompressed) and it was taking too long to create and transfer.
@Hokunda, the problem I seem to be having as that my Zxel router's control panel is on port 80 (and no way to change it) so it means port 80 is in use and it won't let me port forward my own stuff on it. The instructions show an option, but it's missing on my screen.
Also, unfortunately my home server is now on wifi (not wired) and it seems a bit temperamental.
According to the user manual there is possibility for that. I have sent you a mail about it. However the web interface should not block forwarding the port. It should not be accessible from WAN anyway.
