In G-32, our Breakout game, I had ended my turn a few days ago...twice actually, but it still didn't seem to end. Kind of like my G-24 which seems to be stuck in limbo. It says I have to deploy, but when I launch, it says I've already deployed and that there is nothing to do. G-24 is probably waiting on the other player to act, but not sure why G-32 got stuck for so long. G-33 - These random map missions seem to have issues with balance. Looks like the exit was right next to where your folks started. I really didn't have any chance to get at you. Might want to change the algorithm to make the exit XX squares from the starting point. Not sure if that would be easy or not. And another general suggestion. It would be nice if the client could store....

Wow...all of those characters are: store the username/password (at least the username) so we wouldn't have to type so much. ;)

Hmm, I'm not sure why those random characters sometimes appear. Still, I've just written that feature and it will be out in the next release (probably tommorow). BTW, to play the Moonbase Assault mission, you'll need version 0.38.

G-24 is waiting on another player. In case I haven't mentioned it, it is possible to send reminders and also force a conceed on a game thats been waiting longer than 2 weeks. At least we're reliable!
As regards the Escape mission, see my blog post from yesterday - I wrote exactly the same thing! :) I don't know whether to change the algorythm or just create a fixed map layout...

Meant to also say about ending the turn no always ending the turn. I think that happened to me once. Unfortunately, it seems to be one of those sporadic bugs which are very hard to fix (or even to recreate). I assume there's still no error log text file? I might get the client to re-qeuery the server to check that the turn has indeed ended.

Yeah...no error log at all.
I know how hard it can be to track those little buggers down... :)

Yeah, already sent one reminder.
I don't think a fixed map in an escape mission (unless it is a BIG map with multiple escape points) is a good idea. It would too easily allow a single, crazy-good strategy to always win.

I think you're right; there would need to be multiple escape points, in which case the mission would just be another version of the Breakout mission. I've tweaked the algo now so it should be better.
