• Just an update on the state of Stellar Forces: It's still going, and there are probably as many games currently being played as there ever was (i.e. a few but not loads - it still surprises/dismays me that given how popular Laser Squad was, Stellar Forces has never really taken off in a massive way. Maybe it's the graphics...)
  
  Anyway, Google seem to be making it harder and harder for small devs to publish on Google Play, and I'm afraid to say I've given up and they've won. They want far too many personal details and changes; it seems to be a task every few months to tweak this or that or send them more of my personal details due to their policy changes, and for a game that I give away free (and make a loss on hosting) it's not worth my time to jump through their hoops any more. Sorry.
  
  I think this means that Stellar Forces will be removed from Google Play at some time. I don't know any figures, but I assume Android is used far more than the PC edition. I also host the Android version on my Itch page, but since it's not Official Google, it's not straightforward to install on an Android phone, and will probably put most potential new players off, and we get precious few as it is.
  
  So that's the current state. Many thanks to those who are still playing it and kept it going, especially the patrons - I'd probably have had to close it a long time ago without you. It's been going constantly for 12-ish years now, and hopefully it will continue for another 12!

• Sorry to hear that Steve, always whenever I see a long post from someone in a forum especially if I can see cheers/thanks and a name at the bottom I automatically think oh shit. But still good to know we can play it through your Itch site. I'll take a look now.

• Thanks. You'll only need to install it if I do any updates. I've not changed anything, it's just for if/when the one on Google Play disappears and new players need to download it.

• Salute from thrashbarg for all your hard work. Will try and download as was looking forward to campaign. Again my only advice was to give 20 points a game just for playing, an incentive. Android aspirers be falling over each other to blow others up if the points were flying out. Regards.
